Margie Young celebrating her retirement with a cake

Margie Young retires from Fairhaven Community after 29 years of service. Margie worked in the dietary department for 24 years and spent the past five years in the housekeeping and laundry department. On the 28th of October, the community hosted a cake and punch retirement party for her. Residents, co-workers and fellow retirees from her department turned out to join the celebration with Margie.

Margie has lived in Upper Sandusky for 40 years. She enjoyed working at Fairhaven Community, especially her co-workers and supervisor, noting that if she ever had bad times, everyone was there for her. Margie’s retirement plans consist of taking care of her two granddaughters, visiting her sister in South Carolina and cleaning out things that she hasn’t had time to go through.
