We offer an extravagant welcome.

chapel hill heritageWelcome! That has been the greeting of Chapel Hill’s parent organization, United Church Homes, for nearly a century. Our welcome is more than big and warm. It’s extravagant.

That welcome is not superficial—it’s thoughtful and intentional, informed by a continuing relationship with the United Church of Christ and our membership in the Council for Health and Human Service Ministries (CHHSM).

Through our UCC heritage, we believe that God is still speaking and that great things happen when all people enjoy the freedom to grow. We constantly seek to improve and expand the opportunities for you and for our team members. We never, ever place a period where God has placed a comma.

The vision of the United Church of Christ, and United Church Homes, is that hospitality should be radical. That’s why our doors are open to everyone, regardless of faith, gender expression or sexual identity. Our communities reflect the welcoming spirit of God. Just as God welcomes and affirms us all, so do we.

We also believe that life is a work in progress. Everyone changes and evolves through life’s journey, and all deserve the grace and love of God. Here, you can safely explore your relationship with God. You can also experience reconciliation and healing on your terms and in your own time.

The UCC puts it well: No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you’re welcome here.
