LGBT Horizons of Aging Summit 2020
November 16 - November 18
SAVE THE DATE!
November 16 – 18
This three-day virtual conference is designed to affirm the lives of older LGBTQ people and to
educate senior service providers and others about the unique needs of this community.
The event will feature keynote Arykah Carter, a trans woman of color serving on the board of TransOhio and working on the Black Trans Project, a photo exhibit designed to share the experiences of black trans, gender nonconforming and non-binary individuals. The event will also offer up to four sessions each day in addition to cultural
opportunities, networking and much more.
The 2020 LGBTQ Horizons event will continue the momentum we shared in 2019, when we had over 225 people from around Ohio and the Midwest join us in Dayton for two days of education, affirmation and fun. We offered 18 different learning sessions and infused local LGBTQ culture with appearances from the Dayton Gay Men’s Chorus and the Rubi Girls, a social justice drag troupe that has raised millions of dollars over the years for HIV support, care and service.
Registration opens in September.
Watch for updates as we prepare to join together virtually this November!
