When I was recruited to join the United Church Homes Board of Directors in 2006, I had served as a volunteer leader throughout the UCC. I was familiar with UCH as a benevolent care institution but I didn’t realize the breadth and depth of its ministry.

The rich history of the ministry at United Church Homes has always been to provide senior living. New imperatives of transforming aging and educating others on aging services is now core to its service. As United Church Homes renovates and expands existing communities and adds management contracts through United Church Homes Management Services, it also is taking on exciting new initiatives such as the Ruth Frost Parker Center for Abundant Aging.

Fred, an active senior who enjoys living independently at Trinity Community in Beavercreek, Ohio, has been a monthly donor for more than 22 years. He volunteers by playing the organ at chapel, Sunday services, during the Christmas season, and every Friday morning.
