Congressman Bill Johnson to Address Veterans at Glenwood

Glenwood Administrator Linda Dailey said she and the residents at the community are excited about Johnson’s visit.

“This visit demonstrates the respect Congressman Johnson has for our veterans. I’m certainly looking forward to the opportunity to host Congressman Johnson’s visit to our community,” Dailey said.

Johnson entered the Air Force in 1973 and retired after serving more than 26 years. He said he is excited about his visit to Glenwood

“As a 26-year Air Force veteran himself, Congressman Johnson always enjoys the opportunity to speak with fellow veterans. He uses these conversations to hear directly from them about some of the issues they face. He is looking forward to visiting and touring the Glenwood Community on Tuesday,” said Ben Keller, a spokesman for Johnson.

He was first elected to Congress in 2010 and serves communities in Eastern and Southeastern Ohio where he fights to create jobs for area residents and improve services for veterans. In November 2016, he was elected to a fourth term.

Johnson is the author of the book “Raising Fathers” in which he addresses the importance of fatherhood and begins confronting the destructive social and cultural impacts caused by the staggering number of America’s children that are being raised in fatherless homes.
