United Church Homes Regional Housing Manager Don Smith said he is pleased the Fredonia Award Program recognized Concord Estates and the work of Housing Manager Kathy Tooley.

“It’s absolutely fantastic,” Smith said. “To get an award like that is definitely well received. Kathy does an excellent job for us. She does everything she can to help Concord Estates and she goes above and beyond for us and her community.”

The Fredonia Award Program is an annual awards program honoring the achievements and accomplishments of local businesses throughout the Fredonia area. Recognition is given to those companies that have shown the ability to use best practices and implemented programs to generate competitive advantages and long-term value.

Tooley said she is happy Concord is among the Fredonia Award winners. She also said the award recognizes the hard work that she and her staff put in to the community.

“I’m happy about it. Everyone who comes here says that Concord Estates is the best in the area,” said Tooley, who has managed the community for 10 years. “I feel all of the hard work shows and all of our staff goes above and beyond.”

The Fredonia Award Program was established to recognize the best of local businesses in our community. The organization works exclusively with local business owners, trade groups, professional associations and other business advertising and marketing groups. The mission is to recognize the small business community’s contributions to the U.S. economy.

Concord Estates was selected by the Fredonia Award Program, which identifies companies that the Fredonia Award Program believes have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and the community. These exceptional companies help make the Fredonia area a great place to live, work and play, per the Fredonia Award Program.

Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2017 Fredonia Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Fredonia Award Program and data provided by third parties, according to the Fredonia Award Program.
