It started with a dream to build a “fair haven” for senior adults

In 1916, Matthew and Jane Smith dreamed of building a “fair haven” for seniors when they donated 168 acres of land in Holland, Ohio. Imagine if they could see how many communities would be built and how many seniors would be served by United Church Homes!

One century later, United Church Homes continues to transform aging by building a culture of community, wholeness and peace within 68 affordable housing and senior care communities throughout the United States.

United Church Homes looks ahead

Through responsible stewardship and sound leadership, United Church Homes maintains a solid fiscal plan to expand our hospitality indefinitely. Learn where we’ve been, and where we plan to go, from our distinguished presenters. From a vibrant new program for memory impaired residents to reports from our partners at United Church of Christ, LeadingAge and Council for Health and Human Service Ministries, you won’t want to miss where abundant living is taking us.
