UCH names new facilities manager

Patrick Morrell

Morrell, who has 22 years of work experience in construction, as well as a strong background in project management and real estate development, said his new job is a perfect fit.

“This plays into all of my strengths,” Morrell said.

Morrell previously worked at Exxcel Project Management, a construction company in Columbus, where he oversaw the demolition and redevelopment of a 40-acre, abandoned mall and parking lot. He also has experience in residential land development and underground utilities.

Rev. Kenneth Daniel, president and CEO of United Church Homes, said he is pleased to welcome Morrell to UCH. “Morrell’s knowledge and experience in real estate and construction will play a significant role in UCH’s plans to grow and provide more affordable housing for seniors as well as maintain our existing facilities,” Rev. Daniel said.

Morrell has a bachelor’s degree in organizational development from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois.

He said he is excited about the opportunity to work for UCH.

“I can bring my knowledge and experience to improve our facilities and in turn give our residence a nice place to live,” Morrell said. “My passion is facilities. Facilities are one of my favorite things to do. At United Church Homes, not only am I able to do what I enjoy doing, I can help people at the same time.”
