COVID-19: United Church Homes Restricting Visits

CMS Directs Senior Living Communities to Restrict All Non-Essential Visitors

March 14, 2020 – The COVID-19 healthcare situation is evolving rapidly, and senior living communities remain a top focus in the fight to slow the spread of coronavirus. We are amending our visitation policy, effective March 14, 2020, and until further notice following orders from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and Ohio Department of Health.

WE ARE NOT PERMITTING ANY VISITORS EXCEPT FOR SPECIFIC EMERGENCIES UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!

Safeguarding the health of our residents and the staff who care for them remains our top priority as this unprecedented situation unfolds.

The restriction does not apply to healthcare providers including home health or hospice care workers providing essential treatment and care for our residents. All persons entering the building, including staff and medical providers, must undergo a short health screening upon arrival, and follow strict infection control procedures while in our communities.

We appreciate your cooperation and can arrange phone or video conference calls if you need to connect directly with a resident or staff member.

If you have any questions, please contact your local United Church Homes community or the corporate office here.
