On May 3, volunteers removed old playground equipment from the property. Dave Jones, pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ in McCutchenville, is also the chairperson of the Sandusky Valley Regional Coordinating Team for the Northwest Ohio Association of the United Church of Christ. Fairhaven is located in the center of this region, which is made up of 31 churches.

The coordinating team organizes activities and opportunities for ministry among the 31 churches in the region. The Sandusky Valley Regional Coordinating Team really liked the idea of partnering with Fairhaven to remove the old playground equipment and re-landscape the area to create more functional space for our residents.

Phase one included taking down the equipment, which was donated to several local churches. We would like to thank Dave Jones, Brenda Weslow and the volunteers who came out to get this project started. The project will be completed late August or early September, weather permitting.
