Gary and John Gearhart: Brothers and Trinity Community Drivers

Residents at Trinity Community know that if they need a ride to a doctor’s appointment or other errand, they can call on the Gearhart brothers for safe, companionable transportation to get them where they need to go.

Brothers Gary and John Gearhart both love driving the Trinity Community shuttle bus. Gary shared that he truly enjoys being around the Trinity residents and helping to make their lives better. He cites the residents, his fellow staff and the great culture as his reasons for loving his job.

Prior to COVID shutdown, Gary enjoyed taking residents out for dinners and joining them for a meal. He even took a bus load of residents to his farm so he could show them his animals. He says residents still ask him about his goats and chickens to this day.

“It’s an honor to be at Trinity and work with the residents,” said Gary. He is very glad that his older brother John suggested that he work here.

John is 77 years old and still enjoys working at Trinity and driving residents a few days each week. He drove for another company before joining Trinity two years ago. His favorite thing about the job is getting close with the residents, learning about their lives and helping them get places.

Both Gary and John agree that the best thing about Trinity is that it is home to a wonderful group of warm and caring people. They are happy to be on staff to serve Trinity residents – and the brothers are beloved by the residents in turn.
