Parkvue Community recently announced the appointment of Justin Kender to the position of chef at Parkvue Place, a community of United Church Homes. United Church Homes is a housing and healthcare provider, primarily for older adults, responsive to the needs of the whole person and based on Christian values.

Kender brings over 18 years of experience in dining and culinary services. Prior to joining Parkvue, Kender gained extensive experience as a cook, kitchen manager, grill master, sous chef and caterer. Kender has worked with various healthcare organizations like Mercy General and the Senior Citizens Center in Lorain, as well as Red Lobster.

Kender holds an associate’s degree in business administration from Ohio Business College, and has won accolades for his cooking skills in Grill Master competitions.

“We welcome Justin’s experience as a chef, his excellent work ethic and his personal commitment to servicing seniors in the community. We are excited to have him as part of our team,” says Ken Keller, Parkvue Community administrator.

Kender started with Parkvue Community on February 5. He resides in Lorain. As a proud father of five children, he also coaches baseball and wrestling.
