Trinity Community at Beavercreek, a United Church Homes life plan community near Dayton

BEAVERCREEK, Ohio [Aug. 21, 2020] – Trinity Community at Beavercreek, a life plan community serving the Dayton area for nearly 50 years, has earned a 2020 Silver – Commitment to Quality Award from the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living for its commitment to improving the lives of residents through quality care.

The distinction is the second of three progressive award levels through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program. The program, presented by the leading association in long-term and post-acute care, honors association members across the country that have demonstrated their dedication to improving quality of care for seniors and persons with disabilities.

The award comes after Trinity at Beavercreek earned the bronze quality award in 2019. AHCA Silver Quality Award

“We have a continuous quality control program at Trinity Communities of Greater Dayton, but we could never have imagined the challenges that 2020 would bring,” said Laura Farrell, senior executive director, Trinity Communities of Greater Dayton. “I’m so proud of the Trinity at Beavercreek team for going above and beyond – during the most challenging circumstances – to foster abundant aging for all our residents. I am honored to accept this award on their behalf.”

The National Quality Award Program, established by AHCA/NCAL in 1996, is based on the core values and criteria of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program, which also serves as the foundation for the metric-based AHCA/NCAL Quality Initiative. The Baldrige framework helps organizations among different business sectors improve organizational effectiveness and achieve strategy-driven performance.

The award program has three levels: bronze, silver and gold. Providers begin the quality improvement process at the bronze level, where they develop an organizational profile with essential performance elements such as vision, mission statement and key strengths and challenges.

As a recipient of the silver award, Trinity at Beavercreek may now move forward in developing approaches and achieving performance levels that meet the Gold – Achievement in Quality Award criteria.
