Tuskegee Airman Willie Rogers, a resident of Burlington Tower in St. Petersburg, Florida, who graced the cover of the Winter 2014 issue of Spirit magazine, turned 100 years old on March 4. Willie’s milestone was prominently featured by print, radio, TV and social media outlets in the Tampa-St. Petersburg metro area. He was also recognized at his church, where he was presented with a key to the city from St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman. Happy 100th birthday to a man who truly defines what it is to be an American hero.
