Camp Ageless returns to Trinity Community at Fairborn (formerly Patriot Ridge) to combat ageism

Camp Ageless will take place from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Aug. 3 in the Main Street Café at Trinity Community at Fairborn (formerly Patriot Ridge), 789 Stoneybrook Trail, Fairborn. The program includes lunch and a magic show from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Events will include bubbles, camp stories, face painting, cookie decorating, a goo station and more.

Camp Ageless, an annual, one-day event, grew out of a challenge to create an innovative new program for Trinity Community at Fairborn (formerly Patriot Ridge) residents. Administrator Stacie Ward said all of the activities will engage participants in a positive way.

“Both youth and older adults have so much love to give,” she said. “Camp Ageless gives them the opportunity to share that love.”

The camp meets ageism head on. Because everyone works and plays together during Camp Ageless, the day helps dispel the myth of what specific age groups like or should be doing.

Attendees are invited to wear their favorite T-shirts and comfortable shoes. Advanced registration is required and may be made by contacting Trinity Community at Fairborn (formerly Patriot Ridge) at 937.878.0262.
