Fairhaven Names New Assisted Living Director

CEAL is a comprehensive certification program designed to elevate the skills and professionalism of assisted living administrators in Ohio by providing a national certification along with Ohio’s comprehensive state-specific training.

Following the four-day CEAL Training Course of interactive classroom training, guided self-study and hands-on clinical training, candidates must complete the NAB examination to be awarded CEAL designation. The Ohio CEAL is awarded to candidates based on 100 percent class participation including completion of in-class quizzes, testing and successful passage of the NAB Examination.

Montgomery has worked at Fairhaven for 10 years as a social services coordinator and most recently as admissions director.

“I am thrilled to be part of our assisted living team. I am excited to enhance our quality and continue to provide abundant life to our Fairhaven family,” Montgomery said.

Additionally, Fairhaven is joining tens of thousands of assisted living communities across the country to celebrate National Assisted Living Week September 10-16.

The “Family is Forever” theme for National Assisted Living Week was inspired by a quote from famed poet Maya Angelou: “Family isn’t always blood, it’s the people in your life who want you in theirs; the ones who accept you for who you are, the ones who would do anything to see you smile and who love you no matter what.”

Montgomery said staff at Fairhaven consistently go above and beyond to develop strong connections for residents and provide abundant life every day.

“When moving a loved one into an assisted living community, you want the peace of mind that they will receive the utmost care by professionals who will treat them like their own family. At Fairhaven, we take this responsibility very seriously,” Montgomery said.

Fairhaven will celebrate National Assisted Living Week with several events and activities on the campus to honor residents and their caregivers. To learn more about Fairhaven and assisted living contact Beth Montgomery, LISW, CEAL, at 419-294-4973 to set up a tour.
