Give Access to Pastoral Care with your Generosity and Loyalty

Giving Tuesday is December 3, 2019.

DONATE NOW!

Chaplains are the heart of United Church Homes’ culture of community, wholeness and peace.

Rev. Hannah Niday and one of her bible study attendees

Your gift provides access to onsite worship services and programs. Traditionally a reader during Catholic Mass, Charles became extremely engaged in Rev. Hannah Niday’s Bible studies, where participants read scripture and reflect together. It was a style that Charles was comfortable with. He felt useful, like he had found a purpose, and loved the group’s time together.

Rev. Dale Brown with resident Helen

Your generosity nurtures spiritual well-being. Helen was experiencing health challenges and felt she had lost her purpose. She found comfort in her talks with Rev. Dale Brown and discovered her answer and meaning.

Rev. Cathy Lawerence with residents

Your loyalty provides a ministry of peace. As Rev. Cathy Lawrence visits residents, families and staff members on campus, they know they can approach her for a kind, listening ear and words of encouragement.

Because of a generous matching gift of $2,300, YOUR gift can be DOUBLED (a match of $1 for $1) on Giving Tuesday, December 3!

For many older adults, the primary way they experience meaning, purpose and connectedness is through the practice of their faith. Chaplains can be key to encouraging residents on their spiritual journeys.
