Kim Vagnetti Joins Grand Rapids Team

United Church Homes, a senior living provider based in Marion, Ohio, has welcomed a new executive director to lead its Pilgrim Manor campus in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Kim Vagnetti, LNHA, joined the team Tuesday, July 21, with a wealth of experience in the senior living and healthcare settings. Most recently, she served as administrator at a 107-bed, dually certified nursing and rehabilitation center in Ionia, Michigan.

“With her focus on quality care and team development, we’re confident Kimberly is the right person to lead Pilgrim Manor and continue our strong commitment to safety and quality care, and providing abundant life for all residents,” said Sean Riley, regional director of operations at United Church Homes.

A Focus on Mission

Vagnetti said the organization’s faith-inspired, mission-driven setting appealed to her, along with the depth of support available to leaders through UCH’s network of 15 owned and managed senior living communities in Ohio, Michigan and Tennessee.

“As soon as I met the staff, I could see how committed they are to be like an extended family to the residents they serve,” Vagnetti said. “Pilgrim Manor has a strong reputation as a provider of quality, person-directed senior living. We look forward to continuing that tradition together.”

Senior Living in West Michigan

Pilgrim Manor offers assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, memory care and long-term care on a scenic campus, just minutes from downtown Grand Rapids. Its staff focuses on individualized, person-directed care of the whole person – body, mind and spirit.

Terry Spitznagel, United Church Homes’ senior vice president and chief growth officer, said Vagnetti is a talented leader with a proven track record. “Kimberly shares our mission, vision and values and our commitment to improving the quality of life and care for older adults,” Spitznagel said. “She brings the right combination of leadership and expertise that we were seeking at Pilgrim Manor.”

Vagnetti holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Eastern Michigan University and has worked as a licensed nursing home administrator for almost a decade.
