At Canal Village’s affordable senior living community, your family and friends are welcome at your discretion. Each apartment has deadbolt locks, smoke detectors and fire-resistant construction. Also, there is a lighted parking area for your convenience.
Canal Village provides apartments for persons age 62 years or older; or physically handicapped or mobility impaired. As a resident of Canal Village, you will pay only 30% of your adjusted monthly income for rent.
Canal Winchester, Ohio
Formerly called Winchester, Canal Winchester was founded in 1802 by Henry Dove. The Ohio Canal played a large part in the village’s history. Construction of the canal began in 1827, and the first bridge across the canal, built on wooded abutments, was located on High Street. The first newspaper, Winchester Times, was established in 1871. The Canal Winchester Bank opened for business in 1887.
