Rev. Kenneth V. Daniel

President and Chief Executive Officer

Rev. Kenneth Daniel is the president and CEO of United Church Homes. A licensed nursing home administrator, he has worked in a variety of positions of responsibility in senior healthcare and housing services over the past 30 years. From 1989 through 2008, Rev. Daniel worked in senior living, affordable housing and skilled nursing care departments with Phoebe Ministries, Allentown, Pennsylvania. From 2008 to 2010, he served as executive director of Ingleside at Rock Creek, a Presbyterian retirement community in Washington, DC. Immediately prior to joining United Church Homes, Rev. Daniel was interim president of Lancaster Theological Seminary.

Active in the United Church of Christ (UCC) and various senior living industry trade associations, Rev. Daniel currently chairs the national board of directors of the Council of Health and Human Service Ministries of the UCC. In addition, he is vice chair of the LeadingAge Ohio board. Rev. Daniel serves as a senior examiner for the American Health Care Association’s Silver Quality Award program. He also serves on the board of trustees of Lancaster Theological Seminary. He is past member of the Marion, Ohio, Chamber of Commerce. Rev. Daniel also serves on a variety of other church and nonprofit boards. An ordained minister, Rev. Daniel started his career as pastor of St. Andrew’s UCC in Reading, Pennsylvania, from 1981 to 1989.

Rev. Daniel also holds a master’s degree of public administration from Marywood University. In addition, he earned master’s degrees from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities and from Moravian Theological Seminary. Rev. Daniel has earned fellow status with the American College of Health Care Administrators.
