Terry Spitznagel

Senior Vice President and Chief Growth Officer

Terry Spitznagel, BSSW, MHA, LSW, is senior vice president and chief growth officer for United Church Homes and an accomplished senior living executive with a 28-year career in the housing and healthcare industries.

Most recently, she was senior vice president of senior living for National Church Residences, where she worked since 2000 in various roles, and oversaw its skilled nursing and assisted living communities, independent living and the development of middle-market programs. In addition, she developed and implemented home health and hospice agencies and the strategy for a nationwide housing service coordinator program. Prior to 2000, Spitznagel was director of women’s health at Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio, director of women’s services at Mercy Medical Center, Springfield, Ohio, and a healthcare planning consultant at URS Corporation in Columbus, Ohio. She also has been an adjunct professor for Ohio University in Athens.

Spitznagel received her Bachelor of Science in social work from The Ohio State University and her master’s degree in healthcare administration from Central Michigan University. She is a licensed social worker in the state of Ohio.

Ms. Spitznagel has received the 2001 Award of Excellence in Management Innovation from the American Association of Service Coordinators and the 2002 Excellence in Practice Award from LeadingAge.
