United Church Homes, Ohio’s Hospice Announce Strategic Alliance
Dayton & Marion, OH (Mar. 22, 2023) Ohio-based United Church Homes (UCH) and Ohio’s Hospice are pleased to announce a new strategic alliance, pairing UCH’s national multisite network of residential, healthcare and support services for older adults with Ohio’s Hospice and Pure Healthcare’s palliative and hospice care services.
The vision for this alliance is to bring together resources, collaborative networks, geographic coverage, and capabilities to design and implement innovative offerings for the benefit of those with chronic, serious, complex and life-threatening illnesses, housing, or social needs.
Kent Anderson, Chief Executive Officer of Ohio’s Hospice said, “The formation of this alliance is not just based on aligning our skills. Each organization has a common cultural and mission alignment around serving the needs of individuals through care, measured by helping people achieve their needs, goals and to improve their quality of life.” He continued, “We expect this strategic alliance’s impact will transform healthcare and provide value and improve the quality of many lives in which we are privileged to serve.”

This growth and evolution does not fundamentally change who we are but allows us to expand upon what we’re already doing in even better ways,” said Rev. Dr. Kenneth Daniel, President and Chief Executive Officer. This relationship is not new for UCH and Ohio’s Hospice, but a deeper form of affiliation. In 2019 the two joined together forming Ohio’s Hospice at United Church Homes, offering hospice services in more than three communities across the UCH footprint.
“Our goal in forming a strategic alliance is to build an infrastructure that promotes sustainability and innovation. We can better expand on opportunities and deliver superior quality of care for older adults,” said Daniel.
