Ever had a God Experience? Based on more than 2,000 conversations, Rev. McKay discovered that most people have—they just don’t know how or with whom to talk about it. This course will help participants reveal God who is present and available and life-changing. In these six 1-hour “no homework/no judgment sessions”, you will explore your God experiences and how to develop deeper connections with God as a constant companion accessible 24/7.

Everyone is aging and while many cultures celebrate and venerate their elders, in Western cultures looking younger is an obsession with physical signs of aging often viewed with disgust. Be prepared to change how you think about aging and celebrate the fact that today, you are another day older!

A Deeper Path: The Call of Aging

Is this all there is? That’s a question so many aging adults ask when looking at their future. Rev. Lois answers emphatically, NO! The “third age” can be a sacred journey when new life can thrive. Through five Zoom sessions, a variety of film clips, poetry and music will be used as well as journaling and breakout groups for deeper reflection.

The Resurrection Story: Lessons from a Biblical Storyteller

You know the Easter story but in this course, you’ll go deeper into the sacred text. Tapping into practices used by biblical storytellers, you’ll encounter a natural supplement to your Bible reading, discover tips for how to learn things by heart, and explore how to enter into the story and make it your own. The course is open to listeners and tellers alike.

Participant Requirements/Expectations:

  • Individuals need their own technology or access to a computer or iPad, preferably with video capability.
  • Participants need to have access to Wi-Fi to connect through Zoom and email to receive the session Zoom links.
  • Participants are required to register one time for each course series. Log-in information will be provided with the registration confirmation.
  • This log-in will be the same for all sessions which are a part of the course.
  • Since the goal is to engage all participants and build community around the course topics, attendance at all sessions within each course is strongly recommended.
