Enliven is a series of online Zoom courses that create community and conversation around spiritual life, and encourage individuals to learn, grow and share together. Thanks to donations from generous supporters and a grant from the United Church of Christ Heartland Conference, the UCH Parker Center is able to offer Enliven programs at no charge to participants.

Program Foundations

  • Create welcoming virtual spaces to build community
  • Encourage the deepening of the Spirit
  • Celebrate diverse faith traditions and experience
  • Provide creative, experiential, participatory opportunities for learning and growth
  • Compliment congregational and chaplaincy ministries

Participant Requirements/Expectations:

  • Individuals need their own technology or access to a computer or iPad, preferably with video capability.
  • Participants need to have access to Wi-Fi to connect through Zoom and email to receive the session Zoom links.
  • Participants are required to register one time for each course series. Log-in information will be provided with the registration confirmation.
  • This log-in will be the same for all sessions which are a part of the course.
  • Since the goal is to engage all participants and build community around the course topics, attendance at all sessions within each course is strongly recommended.

Chair Yoga Mid-Day Stretch and Strength - Mondays @ 3:30 PM

Beginning Monday, October 3 from 3:30-4:00 PM (EDT)
Continuing weekly through November 21, 2022 (total of 8 sessions)

Lee Schroeder, Certified E-RYT Yoga Alliance, Reiki Master

Chair yoga is a gentle way to improve your flexibility, balance, and strength without sitting on the floor. While optional standing poses with the support of a chair will be offered, you can participate fully while sitting.

Fall Shorts: Reflections on Life Through Film - Wednesdays @ 4 PM

Wednesdays from 4:00 – 5:00 (EDT), beginning October 5, 10/12, 10/26, 11/2

Rev. Beth Long-Higgins, VP of Engagement and director of the Ruth Frost Parker Center for Abundant Aging at United Church Homes

Using four short films (20 minutes or less) from the Foundation of Arts and Healing Film Festival, we will watch the films together and talk about the film’s themes.
