Concord Estates receives Best of Fredonia Award 2017

FREDONIA, NEW YORK — Concord Estates, a United Church Homes community, has been selected to receive the 2017 Best of Fredonia Award in the Apartments category by the Fredonia Award Program.

Melvyn J. Stauffer, Esq.

Mr. Melvin J. Stauffer, Esq., a past United Church Homes Herbster Award recipient, has been inducted into the Ohio Senior Citizens Hall of Fame along with seven other older Ohioans, according to the Ohio Department of Aging. Mr. Stauffer is a longtime supporter of United Church Homes and Parkvue Community in Sandusky.

Marion, OH – Fourteen local health care workers received their Elder Care Certificates (ECC) from the Alber Enterprise Center at Ohio State Marion on Wednesday, May 10th, in a recognition ceremony with all the pomp and circumstance of a typical graduation. These dedicated, long-term health care employees participated in a Pilot Program funded through an OSU CARES seed grant. The Alber Enterprise Center directed the program under the leadership of Anne Johnson, MS, Senior Organization Development Consultant, and facilitated by experts in the field. 

Linda Daily, new executive director of Glenwood Community

MARIETTA, Ohio – United Church Homes recently selected a new executive director for Glenwood Community in Marietta.

Linda J. Dailey will begin her role at Glenwood April 26. She is excited about her new leadership role at Glenwood and with United Church Homes, a nonprofit, faith-based organization based in Marion, Ohio.

Dailey said she was looking forward to working in her hometown of Marietta and being a part of United Church Homes because of its mission, vision and core values.
